Why a double zero hockey goalie?
I wondered why at the beginning of each period, the tutor scrapes fold with ice skates (scratched lid). It seems to cover the entire ice surface immediately in front of the net.
Some reasons. 1) To remove any standing water and soften any bumps left by the Zamboni, which can interfere with the movements of the goalkeeper. 2) It is an excellent preparation for a guard. The side to side motions work for all muscles of the legs, core muscles, arms, etc: These movements are reminiscent of the movements of guard do to have a copy of security. 3) For the ice in the crease slightly rougher. It is not as easy for the goalie to slide out of position during the transition from a position to another.
