ice hockey hall of fame
What are your feelings on the Hall of Fame selection committee and the selection process?

1. Women are now considered separately (up 2 per year – Angela James finally get their due) 2. The committee was expanded to 18 members with Stan Mikita leave and be replaced by Mike Gartner and David Branch. 3. Up to 2 women, 4 men and 2 manufacturers, government officials can be induced each year (currently there is a maximum of 5) http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id = 416088 Bob – the voting process will change. Each member voted for all eligible players feel that the induction of merit. The first 4 players receive 14 votes or more to enter if a player gets 14 votes, but not in the top 4, tough! He's out. Therefore, nothing like a draw. Bob and Spaceboy agree – and this is not a full moon! Uh-Oh!

1) as the hockey Hall of Fame, not Hall of Fame in the NHL (or Pro Hockey Hall of Fame), I have no problem with that. Women already play at the Olympics! 2) I do not know enough to have an opinion on Mikita go, but I like the idea of adding, David Branch. 3) seems quite reasonable. I'm curious … It makes any kind of formal presentation and / or open debate on a candidate, or is only a "yer vote here 'and you left? Is there a committee member who presented the case of a candidate (at least during its first year of eligibility)? Just wondering.
