Apparently, Major John Cullen lives in Atlanta, GA, and John Young was listed as Hamburg, New York. The Cullen family is a great hockey, Ray, Brian Cullen and Barry have played in the NHL too. So I think that the young John should be linked to one of them.
It is possible, but Cullen is a common surname. Interesting observation, but ps! You mean the same Cullen John, who played for the Whalers, Penguins and lightning and cancer?
